Adam Gooch
Software Craftsman

Adam began his programming career controlling audio video systems. Through this practice, he gained a deep appreciation for user experience in the software that he built. A craftsman's job is not complete until the client is happy to use the software that has been created for them.
Simple organization has been crucial throughout each of his endeavors. Efficiency is gained through these practices and they play a key role in crafting great software. Clutter is uncomfortable, whereas cleanliness feels right.
While becoming a Certified Crestron Programmer, he discovered a passion for controlling hardware through software. He's put systems together for schools, government, corporate clients, and the Tampa International Airport.
He joined 8th Light as an apprentice under Cory Foy shortly after getting his AS degree in Computer Programming. A craftsman is in a perpetual state of learning, which is exactly where Adam prefers to be. He has learned languages such as Java, Ruby on Rails, C#, Python, and Cobol. Internet security is of great interest to him as is music, theme parks, and philosophy.
