Cory Foy

Software Craftsman

Cory is a passionate software developer and technical leader with over 15 years of experience managing and leading software teams around the globe.

Cory has been most active as a member of the agile software community where he has been involved with Extreme Programming, Scrum, Kanban and Software Craftsmanship, and has spent many years transitioning organizations to think differently about their work through Lean and Agile principles.

In addition to his work in the agile community, Cory worked for Microsoft as a Senior PFE helping some of Microsoft’s largest customers in the United States and Europe.

He is also a frequent conference speaker, having presented at conferences such as Agile, XP 2010, SCNA, TechReady, MIX and many others. He is also involved in the local community helping start or run many user groups.

Cory resides just north of Tampa, Florida with his wife and two beautiful girls. In his spare time, Cory is a musician and enjoys fresh and saltwater fishing.
