Craig began his journey fueled by an interest in Java and inspired by an article Kent Beck wrote about JUnit. While following the developments of the JUnit framework, Craig learned about Agile.

He then began crafting software in Java and .NET using these techniques, even when working with people less receptive to them.

In 2007, Craig founded Mutually Human Software with three fellow developers and dove head first into Ruby on Rails.

In 2008, he attended the Summit on Software Craftsmanship and joined several other 8th Light Craftsmen in drafting and signing the Manifesto for Software Craftsmanship.

Over the years, Craig maintained a professional relationship with 8th Light co-founders Paul Pagel and Micah Martin, and in 2009 found himself working with them once again.

While taking regular trips to 8th Light, he established a rapport with the other Craftsmen and was later honored to join 8th Light full–time.

Craig is an avid hockey player and loves visiting new places with his wife Sandy. He also enjoys reading his daughter Corinne’s poetry and supporting her work for peace.

He received his B.S. in Computer Science from Central Michigan University in 1998.
