Doug Bradbury

Software Craftsman

With nearly 10 years of software development experience, Doug has written everything from assembly level digital signal processing algorithms to complex web apps.

In the past, he has worked extensively with real–time embedded C++ for companies in the pro audio and printing markets.

With 8th Light, Doug has contributed to several projects in Ruby, C++, and Java, including the Fidelity Life project. Additionally, he created Gift of Admin, a Ruby on Rails web application.

In 2008, Doug helped draft the Manifesto for Software Craftsmanship, a movement he remains passionate about.

Outside of work, he and his wife enjoy hiking, skiing and mentoring youth at a local church.

Doug received his Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering from University of Illinois in 2002.
