Ginny Hendry

Software Craftsman

Before joining 8th Light in 2012, Ginny built software for the manufacturing, distribution, logistics, international trade, retail sales, tour and cruise operations industries in both consulting and in-house roles. Much of her career has been devoted to systems integration: linking specialized software packages with custom workflows, reporting, and user interfaces to meet unique customer requirements.

Ginny enjoys the engineering aspects of building systems that work as well as the satisfaction of crafting elegant and useful software for customers to solve their business problems.

She runs monthly hack nights for the Chicago Ruby and JavaScript user groups. Ginny enjoys city life in Chicago and travelling to experience cities, countryside, and technical conferences in other parts of the world.
