Jim Suchy

Software Craftsman

Jim has over 11 years of software development experience. Before joining 8th Light, he built software products for window and door manufacturers and worked as a consultant in the insurance, real estate, health care, and manufacturing industries.

Since joining 8th Light, Jim has contributed to a number of projects including Fidelity Life and has gained valuable experience with Ruby, C++ and Java.

His open source software projects include Limelight and CSlim.

In 2010, Jim co-founded the McHenry Software Craftsmanship User Group which he continues to help organize. He has spoken at these events:

• Agile 2009
• Chicago Code Camp (2009)
• Chicago Code Camp (2010)

Jim received his Bachelor’s in Math and Computer Science from the University of Illinois in 2001.
