Software Craftsman

Josh began programming in C at Wichita State University, where he graduated with highest honors.

Unsatisfied by classroom material, he taught himself Ruby through books and blogs, and began developing in Rails at a local design firm.

Frustrated with the classroom experience, he created Ruby Kickstart to help others learn the delights of dynamic languages.

Josh joined the Craftsmen at 8th Light, in Fall of 2011, after a brief apprenticeship with Doug Bradbury.

He is proficient in Ruby and Java, competent in C and Javascript, and has dabbled in numerous other languages.
