Software Craftsman

Josh's passion for programming became apparent at his alma mater of Wichita State University. He was unsatisfied with the classroom style of learning and decided to teach himself Ruby through books and blogs. He than began developing in Rails at a local design firm. He created Ruby Kickstart to help jumpstart that same a passion in others.

He approaches his work knowing that there is as much art in programming as there is engineering. People have to use his software and it is going to be part of their personal landscape. A craftsman makes sure it is both a functional and enjoyable part of their landscape.

He is proficient in Ruby and Java, competent in C and JavaScript, and has dabbled in numerous other languages.
