Kevin first started programming in college. While working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from the University of Illinois, he studied the basics of computer science and learned to write code using C++.

He has learned that the best solution to a problem is rarely the first solution that is tried. It takes a lot of ideas, attempts, revisions, and rewriting to make software that truly solves a challenge. It takes teamwork between craftsmen, and a confidence in your ability to succeed.

He has experience with multiple programming languages and tools, such as Ruby, Rails, Java, and Clojure.
