Steve hails from Los Angeles, where he began his career as a software tester in 2001.

During his time as an apprentice under Micah Martin, which he blogged about, he learned the importance of tdd, solid principles, design patterns and agile processes while using technologies like Ruby, Rails, Java and Smalltalk.

He has worked on Ruby and Rails based projects in the Health Care, Finance and Telecommunications industries. He has also developed on Android and Windows Phone 7 mobile platforms.

Steve is the author of GNU Smalltalk Koans and has contributed to various open source projects. He enjoys his lifelong journey in continuous learning.
