Steven began programming in 2006 while attending McHenry County College. During this time he started a company and sold desktop applications for Mac OS X.

Eventually, his company was purchased by where he was hired to write iPhone/iPad applications for various clients.

Steven has worked with a variety of programming languages including Ruby, Python, C, PHP, Clojure, JavaScript, Objective–C, HTML, CSS and bash–scripting.

Steven has also used tools such as Sinatra, Haml, DataMapper, Sequel, Cocoa, Linux, jQuery, Rails and Django. He joined 8th Light in November 2010 after a brief apprenticeship under Eric Smith.

Steven enjoys spending time with his wife Nikki and their three young children. When he’s not at work, you can find him reading the Bible, attending Church, or just generally being helpful.
