Product Craftsman

Sue has spent the last 14 years working on web products. She has managed products, clients, projects, processes - and also coded a little. She has worked with top 500 e-tailers, small businesses, advertising agencies, non-profits, and startups of all stages.

She came to 8th Light to be close to the practices of clean software construction. And to pursue a holistic, deeply interdisciplinary approach to quality. During her apprenticeship with Doug Bradbury, she learned about agile methodologies and their application in diverse environments.

A professional human interaction watcher since age 4, Sue's life-long practice of empathy is her foundation for crafting quality products and services. Her work experience includes qualitative research methods, thought leadership, and no-nonsense tactical execution.

In her spare time, Sue pursues random ideation and the Dark Arts of affiliate marketing. She enjoys time with her husband Todd, whom she met in Unix class - and who still teases her about retention. They are proud owners of a retired racing greyhound named Rock A Bye Skeeter.
