Myles Megyesi, Software Craftsman

Myles Megyesi

Software Craftsman

Myles grew up in Peoria, Illinois, where he started programming in high school. In college, this interest grew into a love of developing web applications. After working on a large eDiscovery platform written with .NET, Myles became an apprentice to Micah Martin. At 8th Light, he has worked with Ruby on Rails, Java, Limelight, and Clojure. Most importantly, 8th Light showed him the importance of craftsmanship: creating software that is clear in its intent.

Outside of work, Myles loves to try new foods, restaurants, and coffee shops with his wife, Valerie. He also loves to watch sci-fi; "Battlestar Galactica" is his favorite. Myles received his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois in 2011.
